BFFs
I love big trees. Staring up into their canopy, it is awe-inspiring to imagine all they have been witness to over their thousands of years on Earth. How much the world must have changed in their lifetimes! The sheer number of different plants, animals, fungi, and microbes that have come and gone in their time, relying on their shade, seeds, soil carbon, and shelter is mind-boggling. I wonder if these two sequoias communicate in ways we might never understand?
